United’s under-18s made it back to back wins at the weekend, with a 3-1 success against Sheffield United.

In difficult conditions, the youngsters created plenty of opportunities against the Blades, but found themselves trailing at half-time after conceding from a corner.

Frank Mulhern levelled matters in the second half, though, and Richard Naylor’s side continued to dominate. Mulhern added a second goal, and Tom Lyman made it 3-1.

The Blades win followed a 4-1 success against Birmingham City the previous weekend when Mulhern, Purver, Phillips, and Mbanje all scored.
