United will travel to local side Guiseley AFC for a pre-season friendly on Friday July 22 (7.45pm kick-off).

Garry Monk’s side will visit Nethermoor for their first friendly in England upon returning from games against Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne in Dublin.

The local friendly will be the first of two fixtures played over the course of the weekend, with United facing a trip to Peterborough’s London Road on the Saturday.

Monk said: “During the week that it’s planned for, we have a game on the Friday and the Saturday – that’s the way that I like to plan pre-season with back-to-back games.

“It fits nicely into our pre-season plan and we’re happy to be getting some more game time for the players after returning from Ireland.”

Confirmed pre-season friendly fixtures:
Wednesday July 13 – vs Shelbourne, Tolka Park, Dublin, 7pm kick-off
Saturday July 16 – vs Shamrock Rovers, Tallaght Stadium, Dublin, 3pm kick-off
Friday July 22- vs Guiseley AFC, Nethermoor, 7.45pm kick-off
Saturday July 23 – vs Peterborough United, London Road, 3pm kick-off
