An experienced United XI earned a 3-0 win over Burnley in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Thorp Arch on Tuesday afternoon.

Neil Redfearn and Jason Blunt took charge of the game which featured a number of first-team players, including the likes of Liam Cooper and Luke Murphy, while Michael Tonge captained the side.

It was midfielder David Norris who opened the scoring, rising highest inside the box to power home a Chris Dawson corner on 33 minutes.

United took a slender 1-0 lead into the break before a second-half double from striker Noel Hunt made the scoreline more convincing at 3-0.
