Leeds United Women were victorious with a convincing scoreline over Harrogate Town Women in the West Riding FA County Cup Quarter Final on Saturday afternoon.

The clash, which was held at Harrogate Town's The Exercise Stadium, was played in front of 1,032 supporters, and saw Leeds put on a dominant display. After the game, Simon Wood said: "Yeah really good overall.

"I think after Wednesday, what we needed was to come out and show us that as a team we could put a performance in like that.

"Credit to Harrogate, and I think them putting on the game at their stadium today just really helps the game developing in the local area so we're really pleased to have played our part."

On squad rotation: "It's good because we want players, when they get their opportunities, to be taking the, and I thought all the players (Macy Ellis, Izzy Elliott and Charlotte Oates) have put themselves really well.

"They're going to make things difficult," the boss added on the York City Ladies clash midweek. "They're going to want to find a way of getting a point or three against us so we have got to go with the mentality that we've had all the way through the season.

"Today will have given them a little bit of belief in what their ability is with some of the goals scored being fantastic, so hopefully that reflects when we're going into Wednesday."
