Leeds United Women are back in FA Women's National League Cup action on Sunday, travelling to Tier 3 West Bromwich Albion Women in the Second Round.
The Whites travel to the Black Country following a 2-1 win over Durham Cestria last weekend, where Drew Greene equalised after 20 minutes, and Alice Hughes capped off a smart passage of play with a 79th minute winner to secure all three points.
To progress to the Second Round, Leeds defeated tier-above Hull City Ladies 2-1, as Ellie White opened the scoring in the eighth minute before the hosts equalised just after half time, but Hughes converted in the 77th minute to seal victory for the visitors.
Ahead of the game, Whites forward Sian Gibrill-Keating said: "We're all very much looking forward to the game ahead of Sunday. It's an away day and we all tend to like an away day, so we're all ready for the occasion and can't wait to get going.
"We are aware that they are a good side and we will be looking to match that, so we know it's not going to be an easy game, but we do believe in our quality and capability, even when we are going up against a team that is in a tier above. It will be an interesting game and we are very much looking forward to it.
"A cup run is great, it gives people a chance to get minutes," Sian added. "I think it also shows how much depth we have within the squad to show that we can compete in all competitions and that's generally just due to the amount of quality that we have in the squad as a whole. There's been a few injuries throughout the season so far but people are able to step up and rise to the occasion."
On continuing momentum: "I think for us winning is the only option. I think we've spoken about even when we've had draws this season it has felt like a loss. So for us our standards are to win every game that we play and that's what we'll be aiming to do on Sunday."
