With the FA WNL Division One North 2026/27 campaign now announced, Leeds United can confirm key dates prior to the season.
Up first…
To crown the start of the new season, Simon Wood’s side will be welcoming newly promoted Thornaby Women to the Bannister Prentice Stadium on Sunday 16th August. Last campaign, Thornaby finished second in the North East Regional Premier WFL to claim promotion alongside Bradford City Women.
The Whites will then make the trip to Moor Park to face Chester-le-Street Town Ladies a week later. Last campaign, Leeds did the double over the hosts, running out 2-0 winners in County Durham.
The festive period
Supporters and players can enjoy a break over the festive period, as fixtures come to a halt from 20th December to 10th January. In December, Leeds will make the reverse trip to Thornaby on the 6th, before hosting Chester-le-Street on the 13th.
If the Whites were to reach the second round of the FA WNL Cup or Plate, they would be playing on the 20th December, before a 21-day break ahead of a visit to Stockport County Women on the 10th January.

Leeds United Women will travel a mighty 1,178 (approx.) round miles this campaign and will play at venues all across the Northern band of England.

Adobe Women’s FA Cup
Last season in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, the Whites got underway with a penalty shootout victory away at Norton and Stockton Ancients – Carrie Simpson producing goalkeeping heroics and Ellie White dispatching to secure progression.
Leeds then defeated FC St Helens Women 5-1 at the Bannister Prentice Stadium, before a fruitful trip to the Graham Leslie Arena where goals from Sian Gibrill-Keating, Izzy Elliott and Drew Greene condemned West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town Women to a 3-1 defeat.
Next up was the visit of West Bromwich Albion Women, a second meeting last campaign between the two sides separated by league standings. Although the Baggies claimed victory, the Whites could take promise from their performance as they headed into the winter break.
