To coincide with World Environment Day, the club has reflected on its dedicated Green Matchday which took place at Elland Road towards the end of the 2025/26 season, with the club’s fixture against Burnley Football Club used to celebrate the launch of the All Green, All Leeds sustainability programme.
Throughout the matchday, supporters saw sustainability messaging and branding integrated across the matchday experience, helping raise awareness of the club’s environmental sustainability efforts and encouraging fans to play their part, supported by players including our club captain Ethan Ampadu, who recently penned a new contract.
All Green, All Leeds featured across stadium and club channels, including:
- Big screen content shown throughout the match
- Sustainability features within the matchday programme
- Matchday graphics and messaging across club platforms
- A pitchside banner moment involving players and mascots
Supporters were also able to enjoy special Green Matchday catering options across the concourses and hospitality areas, with drinks served in compostable cups as part of the club’s ongoing waste reduction efforts.
Home fans in attendance also received a post-match survey to help the club better understand supporter attitudes and identify opportunities to take further action together.
The Green Matchday formed part of the club’s wider All Green, All Leeds programme, launched earlier this year and built around two strategic pillars: adapting our business and engaging and inspiring fans.
