Leeds United Women return to Adobe Women’s FA Cup action this Sunday, taking on FC St Helens Women at Garforth in the first round proper.
The Whites progressed after a penalty shootout victory away at Norton & Stockton Ancients following a deadlocked 90 minutes, with Carrie Simpson making a crucial stop to allow for Ellie White to dispatch the winning spot-kick.
Last time out, Leeds emerged 2-1 winners away at Hull City Ladies in the FA Women’s National League Cup, after an eighth-minute strike from White and late header from Alice Hughes booked their spot in the Second Round - a visit to West Bromwich Albion Women.
Our visitors are coming in off the back of an 8-0 win against Southport FC Women, and they progressed to this stage with a 2-1 away victory at Thornaby.
Leeds currently sit fifth on 11 points in the FA WNL Division One North, a tier above FC St Helens, who sit third on 19 points from seven games in the North West Women’s Regional League, Division One Central.
Action from the Bannister Prentice Stadium gets underway at 2pm.
