Leeds United Women finalised their pre-opening day transfer business with the addition of Ella Harris, who joins the club from Cheadle Town Women.

The 25-year-old was key to her previous side's silverware lift last campaign, where she scored the winning penalty in the FA WNL Plate final.

Upon her welcome to the club, Ella said: “It feels brilliant. It’s good to be part of a team and get settled in. I already know quite a few of the girls already and Simon so yeah, it’s special.

“As a player, I offer a bit of everything. Going forward, box-to-box, and as a person I’m very laid back and positive.

“My ambition this season is to win the league. I think that’s what I wanted to come and do here, and contribute to the team with goals, assists and defensively as well.

“I see myself as a bit of a leader, and the opportunities that the club allow for us to go and succeed, playing at Elland Road and training at Thorp Arch for example, are excellent.”
