Leeds United are honoured to announce Eddie Gray has been recognised for his outstanding service to the club with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The legendary winger was presented with the accolade by Peter Lowy at the 2025/26 Player of the Year awards.
The Scotland international made 579 appearances for the Whites during a stellar career that began after signing for a schoolboy as a teenager in 1965.
Making his debut on New Year’s Day in 1966, honours quickly followed. Eddie helped Don Revie’s side to League Cup and Inter-City Fairs Cup success in 1968 before being an instrumental part of the side who were crowned First Division champions the following campaign.
A one-club man in his playing days, Gray would go on to win another top-flight title in the 1973/74 season, the centenary edition of the FA Cup in 1972, a second Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 1969 Charity Shield.
Eddie was also a runner up in the 1975 European Cup, which ended in a controversial defeat to Bayern Munich in Paris. The 12-time capped Scotland international retired in 1983, 19 years after his debut having scored 69 goals for the Whites.
After calling time on his illustrious career, Eddie went on to manage Leeds twice, as well as other coaching roles and countless fantastic work behind the scenes, on a matchday and in the community as a club ambassador.
The start of a dynasty of Grays, brother Frank, nephew Andy and great-nephews Archie and Harry have also represented the club which Eddie has given such magnificent service over the past 70 decades.
Eddie is a true Leeds United great and everyone at the club is honoured to call him one of our own.
