Goalkeeper Marco Silvestri says he is feeling good with life at Leeds United and that Elland Road is the perfect place to play football.

In the league the keeper has been an ever present and has made some fantastic saves between the posts for United throughout the season.

Now, he says that the international break has come at the perfect time for the team to regroup.

“I am happy because I feel good,” said the Italian. “I feel good in the city and the fans are amazing. I love the fans. It is perfect here to play well.

“I think that we need to score more goals but that is not easy. I feel we should have won the game last Saturday.

“The international break has come at the perfect moment. We need to work with the new coach, we need this.”

Following United’s 1-1 draw with the Sheffield Wednesday the keeper says the hard work doesn’t stop.

“I thought that we could have scored two or three goals,” said Silvestri. “I thought that their goalkeeper made some very good saves.

“On Saturday we saw a very good goalkeeper. For me it wasn’t the hardest day as the team in front of me played very well.

“Now we will use the international break to work very hard to make sure that we play well again. I think it is important to keep training with the new coach.

“It is a different type of training because he is not an English coach but all coaches are different. He has different methods for training and for the games.”
