WARNOCK SET TO RETURN?

Darko Milanic says full-back is in his plans for Rotherham...

Head coach Darko Milanic has no fresh injury worries to contend with but says full-back Stephen Warnock may return to the side for Friday night’s trip to Rotherham United.

Warnock was an unused substitute in the recent draws with Reading and Sheffield Wednesday as Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi came in at left back.

The former Liverpool man had been ever-present in the Championship until those two games and Milanic could now recall him at the New York Stadium.

"He is in my plans," said the United head coach.

"He was also against Sheffield Wednesday and against Reading. He will play."

Milanic remains without loanee Zan Benedicic, who is sidelined with a knee problem, while Aidan White and Lewis Walters are still recovering from injuries picked up in pre-season.

"Only Benedicic, Walters and White are not prepared. Everybody else is fit," he said.

Adryan is expected to be included in the squad again as he looks to make his United debut and Milanic says the Brazilian has a bright future.

"He trained well. In the future, he has to do his job well. He has talent, he is young," said the 46-year-old.

"He has to be prepared for one minute or for 90 minutes."

Meanwhile, Chris Dawson has been in fine form for the Under-21s so far this season, netting three goals in his last two games to push himself closer to a first-team opportunity.

"He is talented," said Milanic. "He is playing extremely well at this moment and he has to do it in the future."
