DUO SET FOR DEBUTS?

DUO SET FOR DEBUTS?

Team news ahead of Watford…

United head coach David Hockaday could be in line to hand out two debuts on Saturday when his side head to Watford.

United defender Giuseppe Bellusci will be looking for his first appearance after he was an unused substitute against Brighton in midweek.

Also, new signing Mirco Antenucci could be set for a debut as the club are hopeful he will receive his international clearance before Saturday’s 3pm kick off.

Souleymane Doukara remains on the sidelines after rupturing his ankle ligaments against Middlesbrough and the head coach says Antenucci’s arrival is a timely one.

“Mirco is a goalscorer,” said the head coach. “He is very powerful and is very explosive so he is a good footballer. He can play up front in a two or a three and he has a great goalscoring record, particularly last season.

“We have done our homework on him and he is someone we have been trying to get to the club for a long time.

“Micro and Souley both play upfront but they are different strikers. It is most opportune that he has come at this time because Souley will be out for some time.

“He has had an injection so we will see how he responds to that.”

In regards to Watford’s squad, they have been handed a blow as striker Matej Vydra is a major fitness doubt for the Hornets.
