BRENTFORD: UWE PROVIDES TEAM NEWS

Just one injury concern going into Saturday's game...

Uwe Rosler says he has "only one" fresh injury concern going into Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Brentford (3pm), while new signing Jordan Botaka is in the matchday squad but will be assessed ahead of a potential United debut.

Botaka, who arrived on deadline day from Dutch side Excelsior, only linked up with his new team-mates at Thorp Arch midway through this week after returning from international duty with DR Congo.

“Our new signing, Jordan, will have to be assessed because he had not trained for a while,” Rosler said.

“He did his medical 10 days ago and then travelled to Africa, where he didn’t play and then came back from different time zones.

“We have to assess him. He’s in the squad for tomorrow but we will assess him tomorrow morning after he’s slept the night.

“He doesn’t know the players and he doesn’t know the way we play. Yesterday and today we put on video sessions.

“We’ll see how he feels, it is important to get the player on board on that decision and we will wait on that tomorrow.

“It’s my responsibility to present Jordan to our supporters in a way that he can do himself justice and that he can make a big impression.

“Will that be tomorrow? Or will that be a week later? I can’t answer that.”

Elsewhere, Rosler has just one new worry from the team that won at Derby County last time out – an unnamed player who started that day at the iPro Stadium.

“We have only one person injured and I won’t name him,” the head coach said.

“We have to make a final call tomorrow, but the rest of the squad is ready and able to go.

“Tommaso Bianchi is coming closer as well, he’s not ready to be in our football sessions but in terms of conditioning, he’s come a long way so that’s good.”
