The head coach gives his pre-match thoughts...

Uwe Rosler says he expects to face a Brighton side who have "several ways of playing" when the Seagulls visit Elland Road on Saturday.

The Championship leaders remain unbeaten after 10 games so far this season under the stewardship of Chris Hughton, who Rosler is full of praise for after taking them from relegation candidates to promotion chasers in less than a year.

Previewing Saturday’s game, Rosler said: “We have analysed Brighton well – they have several ways of playing.

“They can play on the counter very effectively; they have pace in the team and movement.

“They can also play against established defences, where they’re having four or five hundred passes and winning.

“I think when you have both of those things in your locker, that is always the sign of a top team.

“I know Chris Hughton very well – I call him a friend. I was very happy for him that he got the job in the first place and how he developed the team.

“He stabilised the ship and made sure they stayed in the league. Then they had a transfer window and look at where they are now.

“They’re definitely a team who I expect to be around the play-offs in the end.”

Rosler is now hoping to see United step things up at Elland Road as his side chase their first home win of the campaign.

“We’ve been caught on the counter too many times,” he said. “You can see that we’ve had the ball a lot and we got drawn out of position.

“We have to find a way. The players have been looking for some answers and we’ve given them those answers.

“It’s about how we’re addressing the game. Our body language has to be more aggressive and positively confident.

“When we have a good tempo and a willingness to attack the box, our crowd will be always behind us.”
