Leeds United Under-21s return to York’s LNER Community Stadium for the second successive weekend as they entertain Nottingham Forest Under-21s on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites head into the Premier League 2 clash after twice fighting back from behind to earn a draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Rhys Chadwick initially levelled proceedings with a cultured right-footed finish into the bottom corner before Harvey Vincent then rescued a point with a late strike from close range.
The performance left boss Scott Gardner pleased, telling LUTV his side “were pretty dominant in every aspect of the game”.
It is now three unbeaten in the PL2 for the Whites, a run which also included a victory over Norwich City and draw with West Bromwich Albion, and leaves the team 12th in the congested standings with 11 points from the opening seven fixtures.
Nottingham Forest have struggled for form at the start of the new campaign and sit in 22nd having won just twice from eight encounters, losing five.
Last time out, however, the Reds were victorious as they beat Sunderland 2-0 on home soil courtesy of goals from Lamin Sillah and Adam Berry.
The previous meeting between the two came in Loughborough last campaign where a powerfully struck free kick from skipper Alfie Cresswell in the dying moments sealed all three points for Leeds!
Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 3pm.
