Leeds United Under-21s will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the new campaign, when they welcome Crystal Palace Under-21s to the LNER Community Stadium.
Scott Gardner’s youthful side have been held to 1-1 draws in both of their opening two Premier League 2 fixtures so far this season, starting in a trip to Stoke City in the curtain raiser.
Luca Thomas had put the Whites into the lead from the spot just after the hour mark, before Potters’ captain Nathan Lowe scored a late header to ensure the spoils were shared in Staffordshire.
Leeds were then forced to settle for a point in their next encounter, after a Thomas penalty had once again put United a goal to the good, only for Aston Villa to salvage a point late on through Charlie Lutz’s strike.
Palace, meanwhile, have won their only match to date in the competition, with a resounding victory away against Blackburn Rovers, which saw forward Jemiah Umolu net a brace in Lancashire.
Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
Luca makes it two in two!
