The all-new competition sees the Whites also drawn alongside Gateshead, FC Halifax Town and Tamworth FC in Group C.

Scott Gardner’s side go into the clash in Lincolnshire on the back of a superb display last time out, which saw United brush aside last season’s Premier League 2 champions Tottenham Hotspur to record a 3-0 victory away from home.

Leeds set the tone from the off, with in-form forward Luca Thomas opening the scoring inside two minutes from close range, before adding a well-taken second on the stroke of half-time.

Defender Jeremiah Mullen completed the rout approaching the full-time whistle, seeing the Whites climb to 16th in the early season standings, just one point behind 10th-placed Newcastle United.

Last season’s National League North Play-Off winners Boston have struggled for form since their promotion back to the fifth tier, winning just two of their opening 12 fixtures so far this term.

Last time out, the Pilgrims were narrowly edged out on home soil by Maidenhead United, despite Zak Mills’ early strike putting the hosts into the lead.
