Leeds United full-back Stuart Dallas spoke exclusively to LUTV ahead of Sunday’s clash with Leicester City.
The Whites head to the King Power Stadium, looking for back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
The Northern Ireland international played 90 minutes in Tuesday’s victory against Newcastle United and spoke about how important that win was ahead of this weekend’s game.
He said: “We knew the situation we were in and we’d had a few disappointing results and we know how huge the game was going into it.”
“Newcastle had been on the run they’d been on too, but we knew how dangerous they could be, because they do have a lot of good players.
“Albeit they haven’t been playing well recently, but we knew that if we didn’t prepare right, that they could hurt us.
“Nothing gives us the right thinking we can go into a game and just turn up and win, we’re a newly promoted team and I think a lot of people have to take that on board.
“A lot of people expect us to turn up and walk over teams, but these are established Premier League teams we are talking about and we need to be a bit realistic in terms of where we are.
“Certainly, it was a huge game and one that we did need to win and we managed to do that.
“We didn’t particularly play well at times, but in other moments we did and we created chances.
“There is a lot we can as well, but it was a huge three points for us and keeps us ticking along nicely.”
Dallas was on the scoresheet for Leeds in the last game against Leicester at Elland Road in November, but it was the Foxes who were 4-1 victors.
He revealed what he is expecting this time around on Sunday and is hoping for a different outcome.
“Everything points to it being a good game,” said Dallas.
“I think there is a lot from the first game we can learn from.
“We are going to a place and a team who are playing really well and are up there challenging.
“They have a manager who knows the game inside out and for me is one of the best as well.
“It’s going to be a tough game, they have a lot of quality and can hurt us at any given time, so it’s important we prepare right.
“We look forward to it, we are going into the game on the back of a win which is always a good thing and gives us a bit of confidence.
“We will go there, put on the best performance we can and hopefully we can get a positive result.”
