Leeds United full-back Ezgjan Alioski spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s Premier League fixture with Leicester City.
The Whites head to the King Power Stadium on the back of a 2-1 victory in midweek against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Alioski began by reflecting on the win over the Magpies and what it meant to the team.
“Of course, we are really happy we got these three points, to give us confidence for the next game,” said Alioski.
“It was important for us to get a win to get the energy back.
“After a win it’s always good, you get more energy you have more confidence and this is what we needed.
“Of course, it was not our best game, but it doesn’t matter in the end, it was important to get the three points and because of this there is a really positive mood in the team.”
Alioski also spoke about Sunday’s opponents Leicester, who currently sit inside the top four in the Premier League.
He said: “I watched their game on Wednesday (against Everton) and of course, they missed Jamie Vardy, but this doesn't mean that they have no quality.
“Of course, Vardy’s a very important player in this team, but they have other players that are strong.
“They're also a good team together and they have good players in the middle.
“You see from their results before, and the table, if they don’t have quality, they're not going there.
“However, I think if we get space, if we get movements to open them, to go on the side and to try to play our style, if it works, we can create a lot of chances.
“We need to be careful maybe on the counter-attacks, but we have to believe that we can do something there and to go with really high concentration and full of energy.”
