Leeds United continued their fine form at the start of the season as they saw off Chester Le Street on Sunday.

It was a quiet start to affairs at Tadcaster with Leeds looking to make it four league wins on the bounce.

It took eight minutes to have the first shot at goal for the Whites, with Hannah Freibach shooting wide.

The home side took the lead six minutes later though, after a great cross from Abbie Brown saw the ball land at the feet at top scorer Laura Bartup who smashed in from a yard out.

The goal gave Leeds confidence with Brown having her free kick saved and Cath Hamill seeing her header cleared off the line.

Jodie Hunter almost made it two when she fired just over from 20 yards, before Freibach did make it two, three minutes before the break firing in after a great ball from Bartup to create the chance.

Leeds carried on in the same fashion in the second half, as Laura Bartup once again fired home from close range to get her second after a scramble in the visitors penalty area.

Leeds kept up the pressure with Sarah Danby then coming close as her effort was cleared off the line.

Nichole Haney tried her luck from distance for the visitors but her lob went just over and back down the other end, Freibach, Kathryn Smith and Kirstie Hunt all went close.

Chester Le Street pulled one back when Jessica White fired in from a corner but Leeds held on to make it four consecutive league wins.
