Dan O’Hearne gave his thoughts to LUTV after seeing his side extend their winning league run to four.

The Whites scored three on their way to taking the points, with the Leeds United Women’s manager giving an honest assessment at full-time.

“I thought we actually had a poor first 45 minutes, but we went in two-nil up,” O’Hearne explained.

“We’d have taken that at the start! It was just basics really, so we spoke to them at half-time to improve things.

“We’ve set some high standards this season and I felt in the second half we were a lot better.

“It was frustrating to concede right at the end and the defenders are frustrated with that too.

“Last season we might have drawn that game, but we found a way to win. That’s what we have to do when we don’t play well and we’ve done that.

“If you had said 3-1 at the start, we would have taken it!”

Next up for Leeds is a West Yorkshire derby with near neighbours Bradford City, on Tuesday evening away from home.

O’Hearne said: “All the players are looking forward to playing at Valley Parade.

“It’ll be a tough game, they will want to make it hard on their own ground. For us it’s not about the occasion, it’s getting the three points.

“They are all tough games in this league, we need to keep the momentum going now.”
