Leeds United Women face a tough test against high-flying Newcastle United Women on Sunday afternoon, with the match being played at the Global Stadium in Tadcaster (2pm).
The Whites are returning to their home ground after a while away, due to the adverse weather conditions which affected the United Kingdom throughout the start of the year causing damage to the pitch.
The two teams met just a few weeks ago in a match that saw Newcastle run out comfortable winners on the scoreline, but the Whites came away frustrated having had a number of good chances in the game.
Dan O’Hearne called on his team to cut out the mistakes which cost them against the Magpies and they did just that in their next clash, returning to winning ways against Durham Cestria away from home last weekend.
Newcastle come into the game in good form and are now top of the table, having won 14 out of their 16 games so far this season. The battle to finish top of the league and secure promotion is between Leeds' upcoming opponents and Liverpool Feds, with just a point separating the teams.
