Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North action as they welcome Durham Cestria to the Bannister Prentice Stadium on Sunday.
Simon Wood’s side will be keen to bounce back from two disappointing results, which started with a 2-2 draw away at Stockport County.
On course for three points, the hosts snatched a frustrating equaliser in the dying moments to ensure the spoils were shared in Cheshire.
Back at Garforth, Leeds faced Teesside outfit Middlesbrough last time out, with the visitors scoring a late winner to take the three points back up the A1.
Those results leave United sat eighth in the standings, three points behind Sunday’s visitors Durham.
Cestria kicked off their campaign with an impressive 3-2 victory away at Doncaster Rovers Belles, but were held to a 1-1 draw in the North East by Barnsley in their second match.
Back-to-back 4-1 results followed, a defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough in the FA WNL Cup and a victory over Chorley back in league action, before losing 4-2 to newly promoted Cheadle Town Stingers in their previous outing.
In the same fixture last season, a late goal from forward Jess Rousseau proved to be the difference for Leeds, in a 1-0 victory at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
Action from Garforth gets underway at 2pm.
