Preview: Cardiff City vs Leeds United

Whites back in Championship action.

Cardiff City Stadium

Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship duties this weekend as they travel to South Wales to face Cardiff City.

Daniel Farke’s side went into the international break on the back of successive 2-0 Yorkshire derby victories, beating both Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City.

Back in the Championship last weekend however, the Whites were unable to continue their winning run, falling to a narrow defeat at the hands of Burnley at Elland Road.

A tough start to the season has left the Bluebirds rooted to the foot of the table, with Erol Bulut side drawing one and losing four of their opening five fixtures.

Having picked up their solitary point in a draw away at rivals Swansea City, Cardiff have fallen to successive defeats, losing 2-0 as they hosted Middlesbrough before being narrowly edged out 1-0 on the road at Derby County last weekend.

The Whites’ last visit to the Welsh capital proved to be an enjoyable trip, with Patrick Bamford and Dan James amongst the goals in a dominant 3-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Action from South Wales gets underway at 3pm.
