Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action during the week, as they welcome Teesside outfit Middlesbrough to Elland Road, in Tuesday’s 8pm clash.
On home soil, the Whites have been in fine form, winning their last seven in an impressive run stretching back to September.
Last time out, United proved too strong for Derby County as the Rams visited West Yorkshire, with goals from defensive duo Joe Rodon and Max Wöber – their first for the club respectively – ensuring Leeds ran out 2-0 winners after a professional display.
That result was the perfect response to a previous defeat away at Blackburn Rovers, and leaved Daniel Farke’s side second in the Championship standings, one point adrift of leaders Sheffield United and seven ahead of fifth-placed Middlesbrough.
Boro are enjoying another strong start to the campaign under boss Michael Carrick and have won four out of their last six matches, scoring 19 goals in that time.
Over the weekend, however, the Teessiders were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley, with former Leeds defender Connor Roberts grabbing an equaliser for the Clarets at Turf Moor.
In the same fixture last season, the Whites came out on top in a five-goal thriller at Elland Road, with Dan James and Joël Piroe amongst the goals in the 3-2 victory.
Action from Elland Road gets underway at 8pm.
