Leeds United are straight back into Sky Bet Championship action, playing the second of their back-to-back home matches when they face Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.
The Whites will walk out again at a packed out Elland Road, under the lights, having won their previous seven fixtures on home turf.
Boro have been impressive themselves so far this season and currently sit fifth in the league standings, posing a tough test for Daniel Farke’s side.
“We are aware that Middlesbrough is for me, one of the best teams also individually in this league,” the boss stated, speaking to the media at Thorp Arch.
“They have lots of quality and many, many options, especially in the offensive positions with Tommy Conway, Latte Lath, who both score goals.
“Then top winger options with Ben Doak, with Isaiah Jones, who came in in the last games also with Finn Azaz. So several other really good options.
“We know it's especially attacking-minded, one of the best sides in this league that you can face.
“For that it's also important that our defensive players are spot-on, but also that our compactness is spot-on.”
After Saturday’s comfortable victory over Derby County, there was also a fitness update from the manager for his side this time out.
“Sam Byram is back in training. He was back in team training yesterday, so obviously available for this game if he comes through the session today.
“Sadly, bad news with Junior Firpo. It's a serious muscle injury in his hamstring. The doctors expect him to be out for four to six weeks. That means he will definitely be out over the festive period.
“Most of the players came through the game without major injuries. There are some question marks around Jayden Bogle, because he felt also some muscle pain.
“He was not in the sessions in the last day, so at the moment it's perhaps a bit more likely that he will miss the game than that he is available, but we still have a bit of hope and make a late decision with him.”
