For the second month running, Leeds United fans have named Ao Tanaka as their JD Sports Player of the Month, after the midfielder picked up the award for both October and November.

The Japanese international has impressed since joining the club from Fortuna Düsseldorf in August, making 16 appearances for the Whites and playing every minute since his first start against Norwich in October.

November saw Tanaka continue his form, playing 540 minutes across six games, during which he racked up 619 touches, 490 successful passes and winning 35 duels.

The 26 year old played a key part in Leeds winning four out of six games, being named Player of the Match in the victories over Plymouth and Luton Town.

Whilst there were plenty of standout performances across the team in November, Tanaka dominated the fan vote, with 66% selecting the midfielder, followed by Dan James (16%), Joe Rothwell (4%) and Willy Gnonto (3%).
