Leeds United take on Leicester City at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon (2pm), in a match that will mark this years Remembrance fixture for the club.
Our dedicated Remembrance fixture will feature a number of activities as we commemorate the sacrifices of servicemen and women, past and present.
Ahead of kick off, the two club captains will each lay a wreath on the touchline. There will then be a moment of silence observed by those at Elland Road whilst a performance of The Last Post is played by a bugler live at the side of the pitch.
This will be the second Sunday running that the Whites have been in league action, having defeated Norwich City last time out at Carrow Road. This fixture has not been selected for live television coverage, but was moved due to Leicester’s Europa League participation.
The Foxes arrive in West Yorkshire having only lost once in their last five league matches. Currently sat in the bottom half of the table, they haven’t had the start to the season that many would have expected, but three points in this fixture could see them rise as high as 5th in the table as positions continue to change early on in the campaign.
Leeds have claimed four points from their last two outings and will be looking to make it back to back wins for the first time this season. A win for the Whites would take them above Brentford and into 14th, following the conclusion of Saturday’s fixtures.
As is usually expected, Jamie Vardy is leading the goalscoring charts for Sunday’s visitors and with a record of five Premier League goals in his last five games when playing in Yorkshire, he will need to be watched closely. The England international frontman does have some serious back up though, with Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho further options in attacking areas.
Rodrigo comes into the match having netted point-winning goals in his last two games. A stoppage time penalty against Wolves was followed up with the winner at Norwich, which helped to earn the striker an international call-up with Spain. Still leading the charts is Raphinha, who has been in top form at club and international level this season.
Kick-off at Elland Road is at 2pm. If you are attending, please read the supporter information at the bottom of this page. There will be live commentary as always for subscribers on LUTV, with further text updates on our live blog right here on leedsunited.com.
