A look ahead to the Foxes clash.

Leeds United welcome Leicester City to Elland Road in Friday’s mouthwatering top of the table Sky Bet Championship clash, with kick off coming at 8pm.

The Whites have been in scintillating form in 2024, winning eight matches on the bounce and conceding just one goal in the process.

Last time out, Daniel Farke’s side picked up another three points with a two-goal victory at Plymouth Argyle.

Italian international Willy Gnonto got the ball rolling for United, latching onto a looping pass from Georginio Rutter, before the Frenchman himself put the game to bed in the second half with an emphatic finish through the legs of Conor Hazard.

That win rounded off what has been a gruelling away schedule, having already headed to Home Park for an Emirates FA Cup replay as well as league clashes with Bristol City and Swansea City in recent weeks.

Since being held to a point by Ipswich Town in late January, Leicester City have won four of their previous outings, although the Foxes did fall to defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough last time out.

Goals from Finn Azaz and Samuel Silvera saw Boro return to Teesside with all three points, despite veteran striker Jamie Vardy pulling one back for Enzo Maresca’s side late on.

United’s impressive run of form has seen them cut the gap to runaway leaders Leicester to nine points, with the incentive to further reduce the deficit to just six on offer with victory at Elland Road. The Foxes will be aiming to extend the gap to 12.

The two sides have met once this campaign, with Georginio’s quick reactions seeing the forward fire home a winner just before the hour mark at the King Power Stadium.

Despite having a relatively quiet game, Illan Meslier was needed deep into stoppage time to produce a stunning save to deny Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall an equaliser, clawing the midfielder’s close-range header off the line.
