Preview: Leeds United vs Coventry City

Whites host Sky Blues on Saturday.

Elland Road ground shot

Leeds United return to Elland Road as they host Coventry City in Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash.

Daniel Farke’s side will be keen to make it back-to-back victories after recording an impressive 2-0 win over Cardiff City last time out.

A first goal in Leeds colours for winger Largie Ramazani got United off to a bright start in the Welsh capital, before former Swansea City forward Joel Piroe scored against the Bluebird to put the tie to bed late on.

Victory in South Wales leaves the Whites sixth in the league standings, six points above Saturday’s visitors Coventry City.

It has been a disappointing start to the new campaign for the Sky Blues, who have won just one of their opening six matches, losing three times.

Last time out, Mark Robins’ side fell to a 2-1 defeat against Swansea at the CBS Arena, days after impressing against Premier League outfit Tottenham in the Carabao Cup third round.

The Midlands club’s previous visit to Elland Road ended with the spoils being shared, as Crysencio Summerville’s opener was cancelled out by Bobby Thomas’ second-half header.

Action from Elland Road gets underway at 3pm.
