Leeds United are back at Elland Road for a second time this week, playing game number 11 of their Sky Bet Championship season.
Daniel Farke’s side are facing Bristol City in this 3pm kick-off, looking to make it two wins in a week, as well as three on the bounce on home turf.
On Wednesday night, the Whites had to battle hard against Queens Park Rangers and did just that, coming away with an important three points courtesy of Crysencio Summerville’s first half goal.
The Robins also come into this game on the back of a win, having beaten Rotherham United away from home in midweek. The points were won in stoppage time, thanks to a Tommy Conway double, scoring twice in the 81st and 95th minute.
With vast experience at this level, Nigel Pearson will lead his side to a second trip to north this week, facing Yorkshire opponents once again, with his side just one point off Leeds in the standings.
Over recent years, this is a fixture that United have a strong recent record in. Saturday’s visitors have only won one out of the last 16 clashes, with Leeds winning 13 and the other two being draws.
The last time these two faced one another in the Championship was in February 2020. Luke Ayling scored the winner after just 16 minutes against his former side, in a 1-0 victory for the Whites.
A win in this one for either side would again create movement up the table. In a tightly congested middle order, City could go as high as fifth depending on results elsewhere, whereas Leeds have the possibility of fourth spot with a win.
