Preview: Chorley Women vs Leeds United Women

Whites head to Chorley.

Huddle vs St Helens

Leeds United Women are back in FA Women’s National League Division One North action on Thursday evening, as they travel to the Jim Fowler Memorial Ground to face Chorley Women.

The rescheduled clash is an opportunity for Simon Wood’s side to leapfrog league-leaders Wythenshawe Women to top the table, with only two points separating the side.

The Whites are coming in off the back of a 3-2 win away at Norton and Stockton Ancients in the league, thanks to goals from Izzy Elliott and Kath Smith, and an own goal from the hosts.

Our hosts on Thursday fell to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Stockport County Ladies, after rounding off 2025 with a defeat at home to Wythenshawe.

The two sides met on the opening day of this campaign at a packed out Garforth, sharing the spoils as the clash finished 1-1. Macy Ellis opened the scoring, but the visitors equalised soon after and the game fizzled out.

Action from the Jim Fowler Memorial Ground gets underway at 8pm.
