Leeds United Women travel to face Alnwick Town Ladies, playing on the road for the second successive weekend, before returning to home turf next week.

The Whites are looking to bounce back from defeat at Chorley on Sunday, and their opponents will be looking for their first win of the season.

The hosts have drawn one and lost two of their opening three fixtures, including a 7-1 defeat against Newcastle United during the week.

Ahead of the match, Dan O’Hearne has called for his team to show a reaction and give a professional performance against a side he expects to cause problems.

What did Dan O’Hearne say, ahead of the match?

“They are new into our league this season. We played them a couple of years ago in the FA Cup, away from home, we beat them 3-2 in extra-time. It was certainly not an easy ride that day and I don’t think it will be on Sunday either. They’ve had a few heavy defeats recently so they will be looking to bounce back for sure, but it’s about us going there, being ready and getting three points.”

League position:

Alnwick: 10th

Leeds: 7th
