Marcelo Bielsa has spoken to the media, prior to taking his side to Turf Moor on Sunday in the Premier League.

Both the Whites and Burnley will be looking to secure their first win of the season when kick-off arrives this weekend.

The hosts have lost both their opening games, whereas Leeds earned their first point of the season in an entertaining draw against Everton last weekend.

“It’s a very difficult team to face,” Bielsa explained.

“They have a very clear and a stabilised manner in which they play. Normally to overcome them is difficult.”

Last season, Bielsa’s side put in an excellent display and ran out comfortable winners at Turf Moor.

The Leeds United head coach was asked whether that match would come into this thinking on team selection this weekend, whilst updating the fitness of his squad as well.

He said: “It’s very difficult to link what happened in May, Rodrigo is a player that doesn’t need reference that far away to be considered.

“Robin Koch is evolving but he is not completely healthy just yet and Diego Llorente we think is ok.

“Adam Forshaw has reacted positively, he played 60 minutes [against Crewe] and he did it in a very intense manner. The recovery in the days after the game has been satisfactory.”

Marcelo wanted to praise Patrick Bamford after the striker was called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad on Thursday.

“I am happy, I think he has made a lot of effort to be called up and finally he has managed to achieve it.

“From my point of view, he deserves it. I hope it’s the start of his evolution as a player as an international."
