Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford spoke to LUTV following Saturday’s draw with Cardiff City.
Bamford netted two goals in the match, giving Leeds a three goal cushion, but it wasn’t enough Cardiff fought back to earn a point.
The result ended Leeds’ winning run of seven games and Bamford gave his reaction to the result.
“The lads are gutted,” said Bamford.
“If you’re a promotion team you can’t be three nil up and end up drawing the game and the boys know that.
“It’s a tough one to take, if you look at the game as a whole we have absolutely dominated them and we could have scored a lot more.
“We knew what their threat was and it turns out that is how they got their goals.
“I think it shows us that we are not the finished article yet, we should know how to see a game out like that.
“It’s disappointing because we should be coming away having won three-nil or three-one at worst.
“It might be a blessing in disguise, I know we have been on a great winning run and we are still unbeaten, but we have to look at that game and we can’t let it happen again.
“We’ve got to learn what we did wrong and take it into games in the future, if we need to see out a game we have to know how to do it.”
