Noah Okafor has been named in Switzerland’s squad for this summer’s World Cup, following an impressive debut season at Leeds United.
The forward, who joined the Whites from AC Milan last summer, has enjoyed a strong campaign at Elland Road, making 34 appearances in all competitions and scoring eight goals.
Among those strikes were a memorable brace against Man Utd at Old Trafford, a performance that saw Okafor pick up the Performance of the Year prize at the club’s 2025/26 Player of the Year awards on Tuesday evening.
The Rossocrociati have been drawn in Group B for the tournament and will face Qatar, Bosnia & Herzegovina and joint hosts Canada across June.
Okafor heads into the competition with international experience, having already earned 24 caps for his country. He was also part of the Switzerland squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they reached the Round of 16.
