Wednesday 25th January 2017- Leeds United 2 Nottingham Forest 0

Leeds welcomed Nottingham Forest to Elland Road, with hopes of closing the gap on Newcastle United in second place. After a quiet first half with little goalmouth action, top scorer Chris Wood broke the deadlock after 55 minutes with a close range finish, after Forest struggled to clear from a corner. Leeds pressed for a second and deservedly got it when Souleymane Doukara scored Leeds’ goal of the season, with a sweetly struck volley from 20 yards out.  This win sent Leeds third and seven points behind second placed Newcastle.

Saturday 26th August 2017- Nottingham Forest 0 Leeds United 2

Leeds visited Nottingham Forest after an unbeaten start to the season.  After his midweek hat-trick in the Carabao Cup against Newport County, Kemar Roofe headed home midway through the first half to give Leeds the lead. It was an even contest throughout, but Leeds secured the victory when Macedonian summer signing Ezgjan Alioski powered home from long range to give Leeds a 2-0 victory.

Monday 1st January 2018- Leeds United 0 Nottingham Forest 0

Leeds entertained Nottingham Forest in this New Year’s Day fixture at Elland Road. Both teams had several chances, with Roofe having the best one, however the game ended goalless and the Whites dropped down to sixth place.

Saturday 27th October 2018- Leeds United 1 Nottingham Forest 1

Leeds hosted Nottingham Forest and sat top of the table at the start of the day. Jack Robinson opened the scoring for the Reds with a headed goal from a corner. Leeds searched for an equaliser with Adam Forshaw coming inches away from finding it.  It wasn’t until eight minutes from time when Roofe handed Leeds an equaliser as Mateusz Klich fired the ball across the face of the goal. Leeds nearly won it in injury time as Pablo Hernandez’s intricate flick nearly found the bottom corner.

Tuesday 1st January 2019- Nottingham Forest 4 Leeds United 2

The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 4-2 defeat for the Whites. This New Year’s Day fixture started badly for Leeds as Jack Colback gave Forest an early lead as he rounded Bailey Peacock-Farrell after just five minutes, tapping home into an empty net. Things got worse for Leeds as Kalvin Phillips was shown a red card just before the interval. Half time substitute Jack Clarke made an instant impact, as he grabbed an equaliser for 10-man Leeds, though. Things then got even better for Leeds as Ezgjan Alioksi smashed home to give Leeds an unlikely lead. However, Colback then got his second of the afternoon as the ball found its way to the edge of the box from a corner. Three minutes later Daryl Murphy restored Forest’s lead with a header directly from a corner and Ben Osborn then sealed the victory for Forest with a curling effort into the top corner.
