Marcelo Bielsa has spoken to the media at his pre-match press conference, looking ahead to the Premier League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The Whites head to Anfield have won one, lost one and drawn one in their three away matches so far in 2022. Liverpool are on a five match winning run in the league which has seen them fight back into title contention.
The Leeds United head coach gave his thoughts on the opposition, ahead of the game.
“They are one of the great teams in the league,” Bielsa stated, on Wednesday’s opposition.
“Like every game, we will try to prevent their attacks from damaging us and make our attacks damage them.”
Bielsa was then asked what positives he could take from the game, despite defeat on Sunday, and what his team can improve on going forward.
He said: “The dominance was alternate [against Manchester United].
“The situations we created at goal were similar. The difference in the play between the two teams, you couldn’t see a massive difference.
“The result the game deserved wasn’t our defeat, but I also feel uncomfortable that again we didn’t deserve what we deserved to get.
“We need to see the reasons why we are conceding all these goals and prevent the reasons why this is happening.”
