The match officials for Leeds United’s away trip to Leicester City on Friday have been confirmed with Dean Whitestone set to be the man in the middle.
Born in Northampton, Whitestone has officiated over 500 games in the EFL and is part of the Select Group 2 list of referees.
He has previously taken charge of eight Leeds United fixtures, with Leeds winning once, drawing four times and losing three times. He has issued 16 yellow cards to Leeds players in those games.
Whitestone last took charge of the Whites at the start of September, which was the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.
For Leicester, Whitestone has refereed the Foxes on six previous occasions, issuing 10 yellow cards. Leicester have won four, drawn once and lost once, when Whitestone has been the man in the middle.
He hasn’t refereed Leicester since September 2013, when the Foxes defeated Derby County in the League Cup.
Whitestone’s last match in charge was on Saturday 21st October, with Watford defeating Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
