Homophobia has no place in football

Don’t discriminate.

Leeds fans at Amex

Ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium, Leeds United would like to remind supporters that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards the use of any homophobic or discriminatory language, chanting, abuse or gestures and condemn this behaviour.

Following an incident of discrimination in March 2023, in our Premier League fixture at Elland Road, the club was fined £150,000 and provided with an FA Action Plan to help improve supporter behaviour moving forwards and try to prevent recurrences.

Sadly in 2026, homophobia has still not been fully eradicated. By taking part in discrimination, you could be committing a criminal offence and will face lengthy club ban, so please think about your actions and the consequences both individually and for the club.

Leeds United stewards will be present at Saturday’s fixture, and any form of discrimination should be immediately reported to your nearest steward. You can also report incidents via Brighton’s text line at 07880 196442.

All Leeds, aren’t we?
