Wales will be seeking back-to-back FIFA World Cup qualifications as they take on Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Cardiff City Stadium, which if won, will earn a spot in the play-off final against either Italy or Northern Island also in the Welsh capital.
Karl Darlow has earnt an international call-up to Craig Bellamy's camp alongside Ethan Ampadu, Daniel James and Joe Rodon, and the four will be looking to replicate their play-off success from 2022 when Gareth Bale's freekick found the back of the net to defeat Ukraine 1-0 and secure a spot at the Qatar World Cup.
Speaking to the media ahead of the crucial fixture, Darlow said: "We are ready. I think we are very well prepared in terms of since the manager came in he's put across how he wants us to play.
"The comfort that you get from playing at home and the confidence that you get from playing in front of your own fans, I think that's a massive part of the home advantage.
"When the draw came out that both fixtures would be at home everyone automatically thought we've got a really good chance here, I think just that mindset of having the confidence of knowing that you're playing in front of your own fans and these teams are going to have to come here and really fight to keep up with us and play the game.
"On a personal note it would mean everything to me," the 'keeper commented on the prospect of playing at a World Cup. "I know a lot of lads have got experience of being at World Cups and I think that breeds confidence as well throughout the group.
"And for myself, it's just adding my part to that and hoping that I can help us achieve the goal of getting to the World Cup."
On his involvement with Leeds this season, Darlow added: "I think definitely the way that I'm playing for my club at the minute, there is definitely parts of that game that have come from what I have learnt with my country.
"Playing club football regularly is really going to help me in terms of being in a rhythm, and coming into this camp, hopefully it stands me in good stead."
