Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips spoke to the media following Saturday’s match with Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Phillips who returned from injury against Arsenal in midweek, completed 90 minutes in Norfolk, helping the Whites record a 2-1 win.

The England international was pleased Leeds were able to return to West Yorkshire with the victory.

“We’re happy to get three points on the board after the tough start we have had,” said Phillips.

“Coming here and getting a decent result, everyone in the changing room is really happy.

“Overall we had the better chances throughout the game, we scored a goal, but a lack of concentration led to us conceding a corner which they scored from, but we did well to get the second goal and fight it out for the win.

“It’s always tense when we step onto the pitch, we’re always going at 100 per cent, trying to win balls back and play our football and it will always be like that, but overall we’re happy we got the result that we needed.

“This isn’t any easy place to come, Norwich are at the bottom of the league, but are fighting for their lives and we needed three points as did they.

“It was a good battle, fair play to Norwich they brought it to us, hopefully we can now build a few good results up over the next few games.”
