Jesse Marsch has spoken to the media today at Thorp Arch and given an update on the fitness of Under-21s defender, Harvey Sutcliffe.
The full-back was injured in the 81st minute at the Stadium of Light in the 1-0 victory against Sunderland, having assisted the only goal of the game in an impressive display.
Speaking on his injury, March gave the following update.
He said: “It’s been diagnosed as a torn ACL, so we’re all very disappointed for Harvey.
“He’s been a very good player for the Under-21s and has flexibility of where he can play in the back line.
“I think he was initially shocked because he has done his ACL on the same knee before, so we were all with him in that, but I think he’s doing better now.
“He knows what the process is and he knows he came back really strong from it the first time.
“We will get him taken care of and look after him, to get back again really strong, fit, and ready to go.”
