Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month Award for March.
The Frenchman, who joined the club on a permanent deal from Lorient last summer, following a loan period at Elland Road, has been first choice between the sticks for Marcelo Bielsa this season, making 28 appearances.
He has already set a new Premier League record during the campaign, by keeping eight clean sheets in a single season before his 21st birthday, beating the previous best of seven, set by Joe Hart 14 years ago.
After turning 21 at the beginning of March, Meslier saved a penalty against West Ham United, but was unable to prevent the Whites from a 2-0 defeat at the London Stadium, despite a valiant effort.
He then recorded a ninth clean sheet of the campaign in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Elland Road, producing a number of fantastic saves throughout to earn Leeds a point.
This was then followed up by another outstanding display at Craven Cottage, which saw Leeds come away with a 2-1 victory against Fulham,
In total, Meslier made 16 saves in March and no goalkeeper has made more saves in the top five European leagues than Meslier this season, whose tally currently stands at 115.
It's the second successive month the club has had a player nominated for the award, after Raphinha was included in February's shortlist.
