Leeds United are pleased to announce Max Dean has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old has penned a two-year deal at Elland Road, running until the summer of 2023.
Dean has featured for the Under-18s, Under-21s and Under-23s this season, making a total of 18 appearances to date in all competitions.
He hit two goals against Barrow in the Papa John’s Trophy for the Under-21s in October, before breaking into Mark Jackson’s Under-23s outfit, for whom he has scored four goals in eight Premier League 2 matches, helping the side climb to the top of the Division 2 table.
Dean becomes the latest young player to sign a professional deal with the club and will now be looking to follow in the footsteps of Leif Davis, Niall Huggins, Kalvin Phillips and Jamie Shackleton, who have all progressed from the Academy to the first team setup.
