Illan Meslier has been chatting with LUTV, ahead of Friday night’s away trip to face Rotherham United in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Frenchman has played every minute of league action in Daniel Farke’s side so far this season, and has put in a number of impressive displays between the posts.
Speaking ahead of facing the Millers, Meslier reflected on the recent international break whilst also previewing the upcoming game.
“It was a good moment to relax, physically and mentally,” the goalkeeper told LUTV, on the break.
“It was nice, then when we came back, we’ve pushed to be ready for the next few weeks, with a lot of games.
“Each game is never easy, especially when you play against a team [Rotherham United] who are playing to avoid relegation.
“It’s a derby and a tough game, a tough place to win, so we just have to be ready and fight for the three points.”
Leeds United’s number one has helped the side to keep six clean sheets so far this season and gave his thoughts on how he feels the defending has been going, up until now.
“Good, to be honest!” Meslier stated.
“It’s good to defend clean sheets but we can do better, we can always improve.
“This is the next step for us, to be even more stronger defensively because we have a really good team and good quality.
“Hopefully we can have a lot more clean sheets.”
