Leeds United Women have confirmed the arrival of talented forward, Hannah Freibach.
The striker has previously finished top of the scoring charts whilst playing for Leeds in a previous spell, so now rejoins the club hoping to recapture her form from previous years.
Speaking after signing for the club, the new number 19 can’t wait to be pulling on the shirt now the season has got underway.
“It feels really good to be back,” Freibach said.
"I have played here in the past so to put on the Leeds United shirt again is great.
“It definitely gives you a different feeling to putting on another club shirt, to putting on a Leeds United shirt, it is really special.
“It’s a huge club, they are definitely determined and passionate and it is clear to see that it’s a club that wants to go places.”
After playing for the Whites at an early age, Freibach left the club and has gained further experience leading the forward line at a number of different teams.
“I grew up playing for Leeds in the junior age groups and I have also played at open age as well,” the now 31-year-old explained.
“I have had a few years playing elsewhere but when the opportunity came, I wanted to be back here.
“I’ve played for Barnsley, Bradford City, Huddersfield and Brighouse, now I am at Leeds again and ready to get going!
“I’d say as a player, I am determined, experienced and definitely hard working. I share the same ambitions as everyone here which is to help get the club get promoted.
“I certainly want to get some goals as well!”
Having played across this level and above for long time, Freibach knows all about what is to come this year in the race for promotion.
She said: “It’ll be hard test.
“This league is one of those where any team can beat anyone, it just comes down to who wants it more on the day.
“It’s a challenge every week, we all know there isn’t one single easy game but I think it is a league we can do well in.
“It has been a strange few years with everything going on in the world, so to be back is a great feeling.”
