Gabriel Gudmundsson helped Sweden make it two wins from two in the UEFA Nations League, completing the full 90 minutes as they overcame Poland 3-1 in Stockholm.

The Leeds United left-back started for Graham Potter’s side at the Strawberry Arena, helping Sweden secure back-to-back victories in Group B4 following their 2-1 win over Romania in their opening fixture.

Benjamin Nygren gave the hosts an early lead after eight minutes, but Poland restored parity shortly before half-time when Sebastian Szymański found the net.

Sweden regained the advantage in the second half through Yasin Ayari, before Viktor Gyökeres added a third in the 72nd minute to seal all three points.

Gudmundsson, 27, recorded 57 touches and completed 33 passes, while also creating one chance during his time on the pitch.

The defender made five defensive contributions, including two blocks, two clearances and an interception, as well as recovering possession twice and winning one duel.

The result leaves Sweden with a perfect six points from their opening two Nations League matches, with their next fixture coming against Tarik Muharemović's Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday.
