Four Leeds United players named in Wales squad for November qualifiers

Leeds United quartet Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James have all been called up to the Wales squad for this month’s World Cup qualifying fixtures.

Head coach Craig Bellamy has named the four Whites among a 26-man group as Wales prepare to face Liechtenstein and North Macedonia in their final Group J matches.

Darlow, who has made six appearances for Leeds this season, joins the goalkeeping contingent alongside Tom King and Adam Davies.

Rodon, a regular at the heart of Daniel Farke’s defence, is once again included among the defenders, while club captain Ampadu continues his ever-present role in midfield.

Winger James returns to the national setup after missing the previous camp through injury and could add pace and experience in the wide areas.

Wales travel to Vaduz to take on Liechtenstein on Saturday, 15 November (5pm GMT) before returning to Cardiff City Stadium to host North Macedonia on Tuesday, 18 November (7:45pm GMT).

Bellamy’s side currently sit third in Group J, three points behind North Macedonia but with a game in hand, as they look to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

The inclusion of four Leeds players underlines the strong Welsh contingent at Elland Road, with all four likely to play key roles in their nation’s bid to reach the finals in North America.
